REASONS FOR DECISIon
- On 16 January 2020,Steven Price applied to the Commissioner for Fair Trading (the Respondent) for an individual contractor licence for building work. The Respondent refused the application on 19 February 2020, a decision which was affirmed on internal review on 12 March 2020. The reason was basis that Mr Price had not met the relevant experience requirements set out in an Instrument of March 2017, for the issue of an individual contractor licence for building work.
Jurisdiction
- The Tribunal has jurisdiction to review the Commissioner's refusal of an Applicant's application for a contractor licence under s 83B(1) of the Home Building Act, s 9 of the Administrative Decisions Review Act 1997 (NSW) and s 30 of the Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2013 (NSW).
