What Zoe is, and what it is not
Zoe gives general legal information about Australian law. It is not legal advice. ZoeLaw is not a law firm, we do not act for you, and using Zoe does not create a lawyer-client relationship.
If you need advice about your situation, speak to a qualified Australian lawyer. Free options include Legal Aid and community legal centres in your state or territory. Our terms of use and privacy policy have the full detail.
The Ask Zoe ChatGPT plugin
Ask Zoe lets you search Australian legislation, read sections of Acts, look up court decisions, find plain-English guides, and see law firms and free legal help in your city, from inside ChatGPT. You do not need a zoelaw.ai account to use it.
If an answer looks wrong, out of date or missing, email hello@zoelaw.ai with what you asked, what Zoe said, and what you think is wrong. A copy of the answer or the zoelaw.ai link it gave is the most useful thing to send. ChatGPT may reword what Zoe returns, so check the Zoe link or the official source for the exact wording. Problems with ChatGPT itself are for OpenAI.
Correct or claim a law firm listing
If your firm is listed on zoelaw.ai or in the plugin, you can ask us to correct the listing or to let you claim it. Email hello@zoelaw.ai with the firm name, the listing concerned, and the change you want. For a claim, write from an email address at the firm so we can check it is yours.
Firms cannot pay to become one of our picks. Any paid listing is labelled Sponsored.
Report a court decision that should be restricted or removed
If a court decision on zoelaw.ai should be restricted or removed, for example because of a suppression or non-publication order, or because it identifies someone it should not, email hello@zoelaw.ai. Include the case name, the zoelaw.ai link, and the reason. If there is a court order, attach it or give the order details.
