Tasmania regulation
This order changes the composition of the Kentish Council by fixing the total number of elected councillors at nine and reducing one seat at the October 2005 election (from five to four for the affected election grouping) (cl.4(1)-(2)). It matters to candidates, voters and election administrators because the change alters how many people are elected and when the change takes legal effect: some clauses commence on Gazette notification and the reduction takes effect when the election certificate is issued (cls.2, 4).
