> > (1) In this Act—

> > Principal Act means the [Workers Compensation Act 1987](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1987-070).

> > regulations means regulations made under this Act.

> > Self Insurance Corporation means the NSW Self Insurance Corporation constituted by the [NSW Self Insurance Corporation Act 2004](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2004-106).

> > the 1998 Act means the [Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1998-086).

> > (2) Expressions used in this Act have the same meanings as they have in the Principal Act unless a contrary intention appears.

> > > (a) a reference to a function includes a reference to a power, authority and duty, and

> > > (b) a reference to the exercise of a function includes, where the function is a duty, a reference to the performance of the duty.
