48 Owners must not install sewerage services without plumbing permits

48 Owners must not install sewerage services without plumbing permits

(1) An owner of land to which a sewer main is connected or available for connection must ensure the following is done by a holder of a plumbing permit—

(a) the installation of a sewerage service,

(b) the connection of the sewerage service to the sewer main.

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.

(2) This section does not apply to plumbing and drainage work.

Note—

Plumbing and drainage work must comply with the Plumbing Code of Australia and certain other standards and requirements—see the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011, section 7.
