Part 2 – Activities that require licence

1. Operating premises for the disposal of waste by burial that service, or are designed to service, the waste disposal requirements of more than 1 000 persons.
2. Collecting, transporting, storing, re-cycling, treating or disposing of a listed waste on a commercial or fee for service basis, other than in or for the purpose of a sewage treatment plant.

Operating premises for processing hydrocarbons so as to produce, store and/or despatch liquefied natural gas or methanol, where: (a) the premises are designed to produce more than 500,000 tonnes annually of liquefied natural gas and/or methanol; and (b) no lease, licence or permit under the Petroleum Act 1984 or the Petroleum (Submerged lands) Act 1981 relates to the land on which the premises are situated.
