Tasmania regulation
This notice creates a temporary, statewide exemption for certain pig trailers used to carry yachts, rowing boats or surfboats from regulations 13 and 14(3) of the Vehicle Operations Regulations, provided specified safety and size conditions are met (towing by a light vehicle, combined length and rear‑overhang limits, signage, lights, flags and markers). It takes effect 1 December 2024 for three years and affects owners and drivers of those pig trailers, who must meet the listed conditions to rely on the exemption and bear compliance costs.
