60 Service contractor—contract enter into a service contract with a person. Note Pt 9 provides for the protection of financiers of service contracts. (2) Without limiting subsection (1), an owners corporation enters into a service contract if the corporation engages a person to carry out service contractor services. Service contractors Division 4.3 (3) However, the owners corporation must not enter into a service contract for a period longer than 3 years (including any period for which the contract may be renewed or extended) unless the contract is authorised by special resolution and made after the end of the developer control period for the units plan. (4) A service contract entered into in breach of subsection (3) is void. units plan includes part of a units plan.
