315 Legal effect of traffic control devices mentioned in the (1) A traffic control device of a kind mentioned in the Australian Road Rules has effect for the Rules if: (a) the device is on a road; and (b) the device complies substantially with the Rules. 2 Rule 322(1) and (2) explain the meaning of a traffic control device on a road. (2) A traffic control device is taken to comply substantially with the Australian Road Rules unless the contrary is proved.
