59 Minister may request determination in urgent cases (1) If an application has been made to VCAT for a determination under Subdivision 2 and where— (a) the Minister is satisfied that the matter is urgent; and (b) more than 4 months has elapsed since the application was made— the Minister may request VCAT to determine the matter within a specified time that is not less than 6 months from the notice date. (2) A request under subsection (1)— (a) must be in writing; and (b) addressed to the President; and (c) set out the time within which the matter should be determined.
