This Tariff Concession Order (made under s 269P of the Customs Act 1901) declares that a specific class of aircraft hydraulic jacking sets (nose, wing and tail jacks with combined lifting capacity of not less than 270 tonnes) are goods to which Item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies. It took effect 24 July 2008 and remains in force until revoked (ss 269SC–269SD). The delegate of the CEO makes the decision; the practical effect is to change the tariff classification that importers and customs officers must apply, affecting importers' costs and compliance steps.
