### 25 Appeal against decision in relation to application for parentage order > > (1)  A relevant party may, under [section 20 of the](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1998-001#GS20@EN) [Magistrates Court (Children's Division) Act 1998](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1998-001) ,appeal to the Supreme Court against a decision under this Act granting or refusing an application for a parentage order, as if the relevant party were a party to the proceedings under that Act. > > > (2)  An application under this section may only be made by a person within 30 days after the day on which notice of the decision appealed against was received by the person.
