3B Registrar may exercise certain powers and functions
> > (1) Any power or function in relation to civil proceedings—
> >
> > > (a) that is conferred on a registrar by a provision of these rules referred to in rule 2, or
> >
> > > (b) that is conferred on a registrar by a provision of the [Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005](/view/html/inforce/current/sl-2005-0418) referred to in rule 3, or
> >
> > > (c) that is required to be exercised by a registrar by an instrument under section 13 of the [Civil Procedure Act 2005](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2005-028),
> >
> > may be exercised by the registrar in relation to proceedings specified in the Third Schedule to the Act and proceedings to which Division 2 applies.

> > (2) This rule does not apply to a power or function that is required to be exercised by a registrar by an instrument under section 13 of the [Civil Procedure Act 2005](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2005-028) if the instrument states, or necessarily implies, that the registrar may exercise the power or function in relation to civil proceedings only.

> > (3) In this rule, civil proceedings has the same meaning as it has in the [Civil Procedure Act 2005](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2005-028).
