Victoria regulation
The Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2025 set the formal procedures for running civil cases in the Victorian Supreme Court, covering filing, case progression, deadlines and hearings. They apply to plaintiffs, defendants, lawyers and self-represented litigants in civil matters.
Following these rules is essential: non‑compliance can delay or end a case or attract cost penalties. This instrument appears to be a 2025 consolidation updating the earlier procedural rules.
