#### 48 Breakdown pensioner held to be on leave 48 Breakdown pensioner held to be on leave > Any pensioner who is in receipt of a “breakdown” pension, shall for the purposes of this Act be held to be on leave of absence without pay, but shall not be required to contribute in respect of the period of such leave. Notwithstanding the fact that the pensioner is held to be on leave of absence, the pensioner’s office or position shall be held to be vacant, and may be filled by the appointment thereto of some other person.
