122 Maximum penalty for indictable offence dealt with summarily (1) If the Local Court hears and determines a charge of an indictable offence summarily, the court must not impose on the person found guilty of the offence a sentence of imprisonment of more than 5 years or a fine greater than 500 penalty units. (2) Subsection (1) does not have the effect of increasing the maximum penalty for the indictable offence.
