Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Act authorises the Governor in Council to grant leases of a specific area of Crown land at Sandringham for sport, recreation and related amenities, including the erection of buildings. It does so by excepting that land from section 18 of the Land Act 1958 and allowing leases to be issued under section 134 of that Act. The Governor in Council is the decision-maker (s.2); the Act does not itself set rents or detailed lease terms.
