Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This Act authorises a specific land exchange between the City of Sale and the State Transport Authority and closes certain roads shown on plan S.241.F, converting those areas to Crown land and enabling their grant to the City. The Act’s stated purpose is to implement aspects of the Sale Railway Station relocation under the 1981 Act. Mechanically it extinguishes public rights over the closed roads, transfers parcels “freed and discharged from all encumbrances,” and allows the Council to create a pedestrian mall on parts of Raymond and Cunninghame Streets.
