New South Wales regulation
This regulation replaces the 2016 Rural Assistance Regulation, starts on publication, and keeps existing transitional effects (reg 2, 6). It formally treats oyster farming as a prescribed ‘farming operation’ (reg 4) and requires anyone applying for rural assistance to supply full income, expenditure, asset and liability details (reg 5). The practical effect is to clarify who qualifies and increase applicants’ disclosure obligations; applicants bear the compliance cost and the administering authority decides assistance under the Act.
