### 47A Warning gantries for bridges with overhead members

> > (1) Subject to [subsection (2)](#GS47A@Gs2@EN) , a road authority may erect on a part of a road under its control that forms an approach to a bridge with overhead members such warning gantries and crash-beam gantries as the authority considers necessary for the protection of that bridge.
>
> > (2) A road authority other than the Minister shall not erect a gantry pursuant to [subsection (1)](#GS47A@Gs1@EN) without the prior approval of the Minister.
>
> > (3) A road authority shall cause a gantry erected by it pursuant to [subsection (1)](#GS47A@Gs1@EN) to be marked clearly with the maximum clearance height for vehicles on the bridge in respect of which the gantry is erected.
