#### 44 Surrender of registration by registered operator 44 Surrender of registration by registered operator (cf 2007 reg cl 40) > > (1) The registered operator of a registrable vehicle may apply to Transport for NSW to surrender the registration of the vehicle. > > > (2) Transport for NSW must approve an application for the surrender of the registration of a registrable vehicle unless— > > > > > (a) the registered operator of the vehicle has failed to meet the requirements of this Regulation, or > > > > > (b) Transport for NSW is taking action to suspend or cancel the registration. > > Note. > > Division 1 of Part 8 provides for the refund of fees in the case of a surrender or cancellation of registration.
