85 Notification and duration of suspension of driver licence,
registration etc
(1) Fine enforcement action under this part takes effect on the
enforcement date stated in the notice sent to the person under
section 84 (2).
(2) If the road transport authority takes fine enforcement action under
section 84 (5), the authority must send a fine enforcement
confirmation notice to the person that states—
(a) the enforcement date; and
(b) the action that was taken on the enforcement date; and
(3) A suspension of a driver licence under this part remains in force until:
(a) the suspension is revoked under this part; or
(b) the licence expires or is cancelled under the road transport
(4) A suspension of a motor vehicle registration under this part remains
in force until—
(a) the suspension is revoked under this part; or
(b) the registration expires or is cancelled under the Road Transport
(Vehicle Registration) Act 1999.
(5) The disqualification of a person from obtaining a driver licence under
this part remains in force until revoked under this part.
