77 Compensation for loss of time etc (1) If an information is laid by anyone (except a police officer, an authorised person or the road transport authority) for an offence against the road transport legislation and the proceeding is dismissed or withdrawn, the court may order the person to pay to the defendant, as well as any costs or disbursements, compensation for loss of time or anything else. (2) Subsection (1) extends to a court hearing an appeal in the proceeding. Miscellaneous Division 4.5
