3 Objects of Act
The objects of this Act are—
(a) to provide for—
(i) the administration and enforcement of the road transport
legislation; and
(ii) the review of certain decisions made under the road
transport legislation; and
(iii) the determining of fees, charges and other amounts payable
under the road transport legislation; and
Preliminary Part 1
(b) to make further provision about vehicles, roads and road related
areas; and
(c) to re-enact with some changes certain provisions of the Motor
Traffic Act 1936; and
(d) to improve road safety and transport efficiency, and reduce the
costs of administering road transport.
