18 Delegation of chief police officer’s functions
(1) The chief police officer may delegate the chief police officer’s
functions under the road transport legislation to—
(a) a police officer; or
(b) a public employee; or
(c) a person prescribed by regulation.

(2) A public employee may subdelegate to another public employee a
function delegated under subsection (1).
