73 Production of identity card (1) Subject to subsection (2), an authorised officer must produce their identity card for inspection— (a) before exercising a power under this Act other than a requirement made by post; and (b) at any time during the exercise of a power under this Act, if asked to do so. (2) It is not necessary for an authorised officer to comply with a request to produce their identity card that is made by a person to whom the authorised officer has already produced their identity card before or during the exercise of a power under this Act.
