96 Franchise arrangements (1) This section applies if a person proposes to grant a licence to another person to use all or part of any retail premises wholly or predominantly for the carrying on of a business under a name or mark identifying, commonly associated with or controlled by the tenant or a person or corporation (as defined in section 57A of the Corporations Act) connected with the tenant. (2) The proposed licensor must give the proposed licensee, within 7 days before the grant of the licence— (a) a copy of any disclosure statement given to the tenant concerning the lease; and (b) details of any changes of which the proposed licensor is aware, or could reasonably be expected to be aware, that have affected the information in the disclosure statement since it was given to the tenant.
