> > (1) Nothing in this Act prevents an employer from requiring an employee to be registered in a category of registration while engaging, on behalf of the employer, in a regulated activity in respect of a member of the class of vulnerable persons to whom the category relates, even though the employee is a person that is not required to be registered to engage in the regulated activity under [section 15(2)](#GS15@Gs2@EN) .

> > (2) If an employer requires an employee to be registered as specified in [subsection (1)](#GS9@Gs1@EN) , the provisions of this Act, apart from [Part 3](#HP3@EN) , in relation to registration apply in relation to the employee as if the employee were required by this Act to be so registered.
