### 54A Offence to give false or misleading information
> [*\[Section 54A Inserted by No. 46 of 2015, s. 34, Applied:27 Nov 2015\]*](/view/html/inforce/2015-11-27/act-2015-046#GS34@EN) In delivering or providing any information or document to the Registrar, including in an application under this Act or answering a question, an entity must not –
>
> > > (a) make a statement knowing it to be false or misleading; or
> >
> > > (b) omit any matter from a statement knowing that without that matter the statement or information is false or misleading; or
> >
> > > (c) deliver or provide a document that the entity knows to be false or misleading without informing the Registrar of that knowledge.

> Penalty: Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
