### 44 Surrender of registration card
> > (1) A person whose registration is cancelled under [section 51](#GS51@EN) must surrender his or her registration card to the Registrar within 10 working days after the cancellation takes effect.

> > Penalty: Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.

> > > > (b) had been stolen; or
> > >
> > > > (c) had been destroyed by another person or destroyed accidentally by the defendant.
