22 Requiring additional information
(1) The Registrar may require an applicant to provide additional information or additional documents that the Registrar considers he or she needs to determine the application.
(1A) [Section 22 Subsection (1A) inserted by No. 46 of 2015, s. 12, Applied:27 Nov 2015] A requirement under subsection (1) may specify a period of not less than 15 working days within which the applicant is to provide the additional information or additional documents.
(1B) [Section 22 Subsection (1B) inserted by No. 18 of 2019, s. 19, Applied:01 Feb 2021] For the purposes of subsection (1) –
(a) the additional information or additional documents that may be required under that subsection include, but are not limited to, references or medical reports in relation to the applicant; and
(b) a requirement may relate to additional information or additional documents that do not exist at the time at which the requirement is made.
(2) [Section 22 Subsection (2) amended by No. 18 of 2019, s. 19, Applied:01 Feb 2021] If an applicant does not comply with a requirement under subsection (1) , the Registrar may dismiss the application.
(3) [Section 22 Subsection (3) inserted by No. 18 of 2019, s. 19, Applied:01 Feb 2021] If an application is dismissed under subsection (2) , the Registrar is to notify, in writing, the applicant and any employer specified in the application, of that dismissal.
