### 11 Registrar > > (1) Subject to and in accordance with the [State Service Act 2000](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-2000-085) , a person may be appointed as Registrar for the purposes of this Act. > > > (2) The Secretary of the Department may appoint a State Service officer or State Service employee employed in the Department to be the Registrar and that State Service officer or State Service employee may hold the office of Registrar in conjunction with his or her other State Service employment.
