14 Director-general may make temporary public roads (1) This section applies if the director-general— (a) temporarily closes a public road under section 11 (Director-general may temporarily close public roads); and (b) considers that it is necessary to make a temporary road for use while the road is closed. (2) The director-general may make a temporary public road. (3) However, if the land for the temporary public road is fenced, the director-general must tell the occupier or owner of the land about the temporary public road at least 24 hours before making the temporary public road.
