#### 86 Proceedings for offences 86 Proceedings for offences > Proceedings for an offence against this Act, other than a detrimental action offence, are to be dealt with summarily before the Local Court. > > Note. > > The [Criminal Procedure Act 1986](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1986-209), Chapter 5, which relates to the summary disposal of certain indictable offences unless an election is made to proceed on indictment, applies to and in respect of a detrimental action offence. See the [Criminal Procedure Act 1986](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1986-209), Schedule 1, Table 1 and this Act, section 33(3).
