#### 77 Special report by Ombudsman 77 Special report by Ombudsman > > (1) The Ombudsman’s power to make a special report to Parliament under the [Ombudsman Act 1974](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1974-068), section 31 extends to a report on a matter arising in connection with the exercise of the Ombudsman’s functions under this Act. > > > (2) A special report may include proposals for legislative change. > > > (3) If a special report is made, the Minister’s response to the report must— > > > > > (a) address each proposal for legislative change included in the report, and > > > > > (b) be tabled in each House of Parliament. > > Note. > > The requirements of the [Ombudsman Act 1974](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1974-068) apply to a special report under that Act, section 31 on matters arising under this Act.
