#### 101 How and when approval takes effect 101 How and when approval takes effect > > (1) An immobilised contaminants approval is effected as follows— > > > > > (a) in the case of an approval granted to a specified person that is subject to a condition that authorises the waste to be taken for disposal, storage or use to a specified waste facility only—by written notice given to the specified person, > > > > > (b) in any other case—by notice published in the Gazette. > > > (2) An immobilised contaminants approval takes effect— > > > > > (a) on the date on which the notice is given, or published, in accordance with this clause, or > > > > > (b) if a later date is specified in the notice—the later date.
