57 Check audits
(1) The Chief Inspector may, by written notice given to the person who is subject to an audit under this Part, direct that a check audit be undertaken in order to assess the performance of a food safety auditor.
(2) An audit referred to in subsection (1) may be directed to be made in relation to all or part of the food safety program and may be conducted at the same time as scheduled audits required by the Chief Inspector under section 56 or at a different time.
(3) An audit referred to in subsection (1) must not be undertaken by the same food safety auditor who undertook the audit required under section 56 in the previous 12 months.
