37Protection of members and witnesses

##### 37 Protection of members and witnesses (1) A member or associate member has, in the performance of his or her duty as a member or associate member, the same protection and immunity as a Justice of the High Court. (2) Subject to this Act, a person summoned to attend or appearing as a witness at an inquiry has the same protection, and is, in addition to the penalties provided by this Act, subject to the same liabilities, in any civil or criminal proceedings as a witness in proceedings in the High Court.
