#### 52 Regulations 52 Regulations > > (1) The Governor may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, for or with respect to any matter that by this Act is required or permitted to be prescribed or that is necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act. > > > (2) Without limiting subsection (1), the regulations may make provision for or with respect to— > > > > > (a) the fees payable under this Act, and > > > > > (b) the requirements for carrying out plumbing and drainage work. > > > (3) For the purposes of subsection (2) (a), if functions of the plumbing regulator have been delegated to local councils, joint organisations or county councils the regulations may provide— > > > > > (a) that the councils or joint organisations may set fees for exercising the functions, and > > > > > (b) for the methodology or factors to be used by the councils or joint organisations in setting the fees, including maximum fees that may be charged for exercising the functions. > > > (4) The regulations may create offences punishable by a penalty not exceeding 20 penalty units. > > **s 52:** Am 2013 No 47, Sch 1.20 \[14\]; 2017 No 65, Sch 2.23 \[13\] \[14\].
