#### 23 Appointment of enforcement officers 23 Appointment of enforcement officers > > (1) The plumbing regulator may appoint persons as enforcement officers for the purposes of this Act. > > > (2) A person is eligible for appointment as an enforcement officer only if the person is— > > > > > (a) a member of the Government Service, or > > > > > (b) an officer or employee of a local council, joint organisation or county council, or > > > > > (c) an investigator under the [Fair Trading Act 1987](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1987-068). > > > (3) An enforcement officer is an authorised person for the purposes of this Act. > > **s 23:** Am 2013 No 47, Sch 1.20 \[9\]; 2017 No 65, Sch 2.23 \[9\].
