8 Minister is planning authority (1) The Minister may prepare— (a) a planning scheme for any municipal district or other area of Victoria; or (b) amendments to any provision of a planning scheme. Note to s. 8(1) inserted by No. 6/2025 s. 120. The Minister may determine that an amendment that the Minister prepares is a low‑impact amendment—see section 16N. (2) The Minister is a planning authority under this Act. (3) This Act applies to a planning scheme prepared by the Minister as if it were an amendment to a planning scheme. S. 8A inserted by No. 47/2007 s. 4, substituted by No. 3/2013 s. 42.
