28 Abandonment of amendment
S. 28(1) amended by No. 12/2021 s. 68 (ILA s. 39B(1)), substituted by No. 6/2025 s. 128(1).
(1) If a planning authority decides to abandon an amendment or part of an amendment, the planning authority must give the Minister—
(a) written notice about its decision; and
(b) a copy of any submission it considered; and
(c) a statement of reasons for the decision.

(2) Within 10 business days after the day on which the planning authority gives the Minister notice about its decision under subsection (1), the planning authority must publish a notice of the decision on its Internet site.

(3) A notice under subsection (2) must include—
(a) a statement of reasons for the decision; and
(b) any other prescribed matter.

(4) A notice published under subsection (2) must be available on the planning authority's Internet site for a period of at least 2 months.
