187 Secretary may delegate powers to employees The Secretary to the Department may by instrument delegate to any employee of the Department any of the powers, discretions or functions which this Act (other than Part 9AB) gives to the Secretary. Note. to s. 187 inserted by No. 11/2017 s. 63(2). A power to delegate does not include the power to delegate that power of delegation unless the contrary intention appears (see section 42A(1) of the **Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984**).
