104B Interest on compensation (1) If an amount of compensation under this Part, including an amount under section 101, is awarded by the Tribunal or the Supreme Court, the person liable for the compensation is liable to pay interest, from the relevant date until the date the amount awarded is paid, on the difference between the amount awarded and any amount of compensation offered by that person immediately before the relevant date. (2) The ***relevant date*** is the date on which— (a) an application was made to the Tribunal to resolve the disputed claim for compensation; or (b) the disputed claim for compensation was referred to the Supreme Court. (3) Interest is payable under this section at the rate for the time being fixed under section 104C. (4) Interest is payable under this section in relation to an amount claimed under section 101 only if the expenses incurred have been paid. S. 104C inserted by No. 6/2025 s. 171.
