65 Police officer party to proceeding for personal protection
order—substitution of applicant etc
(1) This section applies if a police officer applies for a personal
protection order for an affected person under section 12 (2) (a).
(2) The Magistrates Court may, on application or its own initiative,
substitute as applicant—
(a) with the protected person’s consent—the protected person; or
(b) a litigation guardian for the protected person or any other person
with a right to apply for the protected person.
(3) In a proceeding for a personal protection order, the police officer may
be represented by—
(a) another police officer; or
(b) a person nominated by the chief police officer.
