2 How purposes are to be achieved This Act aims to achieve its purposes by— (a) providing an effective and accessible system of personal safety intervention orders; and (b) encouraging the use of mediation to assist in the resolution of disputes where appropriate; and (c) creating an offence for contravention of a personal safety intervention order.
