18 Applications against children under 12 years of age If a person makes an application for a personal safety intervention order against a child who is under 12 years of age on the date that the application is made— S. 18(a) amended by No. 32/2024 s. 837(2)(b). (a) if the court knows that the child was under 12 years of age on the date of the making of the application, the court must not make a personal safety intervention order against the child; (b) if the court makes the personal safety intervention order against the child, the order has no effect.
