#### 24 Lodgment of documents by ECM system 24 Lodgment of documents by ECM system > > (1) A document lodged in applicable proceedings on behalf of a party by means of an ECM system, may be lodged by— > > > > > (a) the party, or > > > > > (b) a person who is authorised to sign documents on the party’s behalf, or > > > > > (c) a person who has been directed to lodge the document by a person who is authorised under paragraph (b). > > > (2) A document lodged by means of an ECM system that is required to be signed by a person is, if the person’s name is printed where the person’s signature would otherwise appear on the document, taken— > > > > > (a) to have been duly signed, and > > > > > (b) for appeals allocated to the Workers Compensation Division to which section 327 or 352 of the 1998 Act apply—to have been duly certified for the purposes of sections 327(8) and 352(7A) of the 1998 Act, and > > > > > (c) for appeals allocated to the Police Officer Support Scheme Division to which the [Police Act 1990](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1990-047), section 199I applies—to have been duly certified for the purposes of the [Police Act 1990](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1990-047), section 199I(17), and > > > > > (d) for appeals allocated to the Police Officer Support Scheme Division to which the [Police Regulation 2025](/view/html/inforce/current/sl-2025-0677), section 147 applies—to have been duly certified for the purposes of the [Police Regulation 2025](/view/html/inforce/current/sl-2025-0677), section 147(9). > > > (3) A document lodged by means of an ECM system is lodged as soon as it is received by the Commission. > > > (4) The President must register a document that is lodged by means of an ECM system unless the President refuses to accept the document under rule 17(2). > > > (5) A document lodged by means of an ECM system is registered as soon as it is accepted by the President. > > > (6) The person by whom a document is lodged is to be notified, by means of an ECM system, of the lodgment and registration of the document, including the date of lodgment and registration. > > **rule 24:** Am 2025 (708), Sch 1\[2\]; 2026 (116), Sch 1.2\[1\] \[2\].
