98 Functions and powers of Tribunal (1) The functions of the Tribunal are: (a) on an application being referred to it: (i) to determine whether the applicant is entitled to make the application; and (ii) where it is satisfied that the applicant is so entitled: (A) to consider the application; and (B) to make recommendations as soon as practicable to the Minister as to whether the land the subject of the application, or any other land that is part of the pastoral lease to which the application relates in substitution for that land or part of that land, should be acquired by the Territory and granted or transferred in fee simple for the benefit of the applicant; and (b) such other functions as are imposed on it by or under this Act. (2) Subject to this Part, the Tribunal has such powers as are necessary to enable it to carry out its functions.
