#### 311 Retention of official logbook after removal from vessel (1) The person who is the owner of a vessel when the vessel’s official logbook is removed from the vessel must keep the logbook for a period of 5 years beginning when the logbook is removed. Fault‑based offence (2) A person commits an offence if the person contravenes subsection (1). Penalty: Imprisonment for 12 months or 60 penalty units, or both. Civil penalty (3) A person is liable to a civil penalty if the person contravenes subsection (1). Civil penalty: 600 penalty units.
